灯光艺术家菲利普·盖斯特再次在Luminale节目中展示了一件非凡的艺术品。在2012年，他的作品《时光漂流》吸引了成千上万的游客前往博肯海姆校区，并因此荣获2013年德国照明设计奖。艺术家将于2018年3月18日至23日在罗马广场上呈现《Frankfurt FADES》。

为了历史城市中心，菲利普·盖斯特开发了一个多媒体装置，将游客沉浸在城市灯光空间中。

在市政厅的立面上进行视频投影，并在前庭进行地面投影，将建筑和地形连接成一件庞大的灯光艺术品。通过在艺术概念中包含地面表面，游客自己成为可走入的装置的一部分。

穿过这个空间，游客会看到熟悉区域的新视角和景象。氛围音效为罗马广场上的图像构图增添了另一层次。

菲利普·盖斯特的作品中，他将先前由法兰克福艺术家提交的关于地点意义的词语和概念艺术地融入其中。这些词语只在雾墙上的瞬间可见，然后再次消失；作为无形的投影表面，它们象征着思想、愿景和灵感，也代表着变幻和流逝的隐喻。

Once again, light artist Philipp Geist presents an exceptional work of art in the Luminale program. After his installation 'TIME DRIFTS', which attracted thousands of visitors to the Bockenheim Campus in 2012 and for which Geist was honored with the 2013 German Lighting Design award, the artist will be presenting "Frankfurt FADES" on the Römerberg from 18-23rd March, 2018.

For the historic city center, Philipp Geist has developed a multimedia installation that immerses the visitor in an urban light space.
A video mapping on the façade of the Town Hall and a ground projection on the forecourt connect the building and the terrain into an expansive work of light art. By including the floor surfaces in the artistic concept, the visitor himself becomes a part of the walk-in installation.

Passing through the space, new views and perspectives of the familiar area open up to the visitor. Atmospheric sounds add a further layer to the pictorial composition on the Römerberg.

In his work, Philipp Geist artistically integrates words and concepts on the location's significance previously submitted by Frankfurt artists as a contribution to the work of art. On walls of fog, these words are visible for a brief moment only to vanish once again; as immaterial projection surfaces, they symbolize thoughts, visions and inspirations, yet also stand as a metaphor for transience.
