ZAAS,一家位于伊斯坦布尔的建筑工作室,由Zeynep Şankaynağı和Ayça Taylan于2016年创立。

2008年以全班第一的成绩毕业于Mimar Sinan美术大学建筑学院后,她在Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architects担任项目建筑师和项目经理直到2014年。在她参与的项目中;塔尔苏斯Sev小学校园项目在2010年获得国家建筑奖项目类别奖,在2016年获得国家建筑奖建筑类别奖;巴库新电站项目入围阿迦汗奖,并在德国获得2015年标志性奖项;Doğa Dragos项目成为2012年世界建筑节的决赛选手。KA House项目中她担任重要角色,在项目和设计阶段,该项目在入选土耳其建筑年鉴后,赢得了2017年由世界建筑界颁发的WA奖。2016年,她与Ayça Taylan共同创立了专注于多学科艺术、设计和建筑项目的ZAAS。

ZAAS, an architectural studio based in Istanbul, has been founded by Zeynep Şankaynağı and Ayça Taylan in 2016.
The concepts underlying the designs of ZAAS in the creation of their projects, are nurtured by interface relations within the fine arts. Aiming to reshape and redefine the ordinary boundaries in interior, architectural and urban contexts; ZAAS has created award winning designs of different scales in their endeavour to enhance the daily life. Among the projects they have realized since then; Yataş Fair stand has been awarded the ‘Best Exhibition Space’ inside İsmob İstanbul Furniture Fair, the Orfisera Office Project has been chosen to be part of the East-Centric Architecture Triennale and Studio Loft has been a finalist in the World Architecture Festival 2017 in the ‘Creative Re-Use’ category and winner of Big See Interior Design Award in the residential category. The project they have developed for the international competition of the olympic village design in YAC 2019 – Sport Citadel in Torino, Italy has won the third prize. The ‘Path’ installation, an intersection between art and architecture, has been awarded with Frame Awards 2020, People’s Choice Trade Fair Stand Of The Year.

Having graduated from the Architecture Faculty of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2008 as first in her class, she has worked as a project architect and project manager in Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architects from 2008 untill 2014. Among the projects she has taken part here; Tarsus Sev Elementary School Campus received the National Architecture Award in the Project category in 2010, National Architecture Award in the Building category in 2016; Baku New Power Station, finalist in Aga Khan Awards received the 2015 Iconic Awards in Germany; Doğa Dragos Project became a finalist at the 2012 World Architecture Festival. KA House where she had important roles in the project and design stage, won WA Awards in 2017 given by the World Architecture Community after having been selected to the Turkish Architecture Annual. She founded ZAAS with Ayça Taylan in 2016, which focuses on multidisciplinary art, design and architectural projects.

Having graduated from the Architecture Faculty of Istanbul Technical University in 2008 with high honours degree, she has worked as a project architect and project designer in different award winning achitectural offices in Italy, China and Turkey for ten years. Among the projects she has taken part as a project architect and project manager in Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architects; Tarsus Sev Elementary School Campus received the National Architecture Award in the Project category in 2010, the National Architecture Award in the Building category in 2016; Studio Santral Student Housing Project became a finalist at the 2016 World Architecture Festival in Singapour. She founded ZAAS with Zeynep Şankaynağı in 2016 which focuses on multidisciplinary art, design and architectural projects.
Ayça Taylan has been a invited lecturer and guest jury member in the architectural studios on different classes, in Mef University and Istanbul Technical University.
