《CATERPILLY》是由Moradavaga与Blue Dragon Art Company合作为台湾科技大学（National Taiwan University of Science and Technology）开发的一个永久性互动艺术装置。放置在校园的花园中，《CATERPILLY》以处于幼虫阶段的昆虫为灵感，将其放大，让人们可以以游戏的方式占用和互动。

受到某些毛毛虫种类的伪装和几何外观启发，《CATERPILLY》具有可变的表皮，这种变化可以通过人们的互动来影响。旋转的黑白圆柱模块如同巨大的模拟像素，路人可以通过它们在装置表面留下信息或绘制图案，从而积极参与到这个“生物”形象的不断演变之中。

通过位于《CATERPILLY》尾部的楼梯，人们可以登上一个上层平台，在那里可以与较高位置的“像素”互动，并通过从其舌头下方滑出的方式离开，整个过程都在《CATERPILLY》那总是警觉的眼睛注视下进行，而这些眼睛也兼作照明元素。

《CATERPILLY》不仅是一个视觉上的奇观，更是一座连接人与自然、科技与艺术的桥梁，邀请观众参与其中，体验创造的乐趣。

Caterpilly was born from the collaboration of Moradavaga and the Blue Dragon Art Company to develop a permanent interactive Art Installation for the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

Placed in the Campus garden, “Caterpilly” plays with the idea of an insect in its larval processual state, that has been scaled up and can be appropriated and interacted by people in a ludic way.

Inspired by the camouflage and geometrical appearance of some caterpillar species, the object plays with a changing skin which can be influenced by the interaction with the people.

The rotatable black and white cylindrical modules function as giant analogical pixels with which passers-by can leave their messages or draw patterns into the façade and so participate actively in the constant mutation of the animals image.

The object is accessible by a stair at Caterpilly´s tail, which brings people to an upper platform where it’s possible to interact with the higher placed “pixels” and exit by sliding out from his tongue under Caterpilly´s always vigil eyes, which also function as lighting elements.
