— Thijs Biersteker
这项工作是基于Polestar(高性能电动汽车品牌极星)的研究并与之合作完成的。

We are the only species that turn wind into energy, making the highly needed energy transition not an energy revolution but an evolution.
Visitors can start the fans and bring this wind solar world alive themselves.
The power to make change is in your hands. As shifting towards green energy is one of the few things we as individuals can do with ease to reduce our emissions.
We Harvest Wind’ is now on view at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam until 3 November 2021.
With my new installation ‘We Harvest Wind’ the power to make change is in your hands.
“Often we feel powerless in this climate crisis, and using green energy is one of the few things we can do now. ”
— Thijs Biersteker
The work is created based on the research of, and in collaboration with Polestar. Because an electric vehicle gets way way way more sustainable if you charge it with wind energy.
Based on the data of Polestars LCA report, Created in collaboration with the car manufacturers sustainable design team and the team of Woven Studio.
“We are trying to raise awareness around green energy. Biersteker’s installation is part of that initiative. He is a really interesting artist and it’s been great to witness how he turned our Life Cycle Assessment into a piece of art, and to now see it exhibited in the progressive and beautiful Stedelijk Museum. Charging green is such an important factor in unleashing the full potential of electric cars, on our journey to making them climate neutral.”
