绚彩之城

Bright City

Bright City is a large-scale steel sculpture by Shawn Causey and Mark Daniell. Designed to be appreciated while the viewer is in transit, moving from either end of the piece to the other creates a kind of visual music. Vertical stripes of color are punctuated by the rippling rhythm of the reflected cityscape. Pedestrians experience Bright City as an immersive field of color and light.

Bright City was on view in the heart of downtown Indianapolis from 2013 to 2015. The piece was commissioned by the Arts Council of Indianapolis and the Buckingham Companies. It received the 2014 Monumental Honor Award in Public Art from the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce.
