In 1969, Keith Sonnier began conceptualizing a series of works later named "Ba-O-Ba". Each of these pieces consists of large glass panels and the artist's signature ring or square neon tubes that connect the walls and floors of the exhibition space.
The artist uses light and color to "paint in space," breaking the traditional limits of sculpture. The "Ba-O-Ba" is based on the "Golden Section" principle of Greek mathematics, which combines architecture and light through Keith Sonnier's extraordinary artistic approach.
