Geowaltz is a light installation created for Nottingham Light Night, set in the transcept of St Mary's Church, at the heart of the city's historic Lace Market. In a digital dance of colour, light and geometry, Geowaltz combines iPad generated content with projection mapping techniques, to form a mesmerising translucent surface, glowing with colour and movement.
The project was made in collaboration with young disabled people from across Nottinghamshire. In a series of participatory workshops lead by Digital artist Rebecca Smith, Urban Projections worked with the young people to design and create both the content and perspex frames for projection.
