出生于1979年。Matsuo在九州设计学院设计研究生院完成了研究生课程。
他是灯光装置的创造者，将美学表达与图像、灯光、物体、技术和互动融合在一起。他一贯通过灯光、编程和自产图像等多种表达方式和技术构建艺术作品。凭借自然的现象和规律，利用想象力对光线的微妙表达，以及基于直觉参与式方法的情感艺术作品，Matsuo为世界各地的艺术展览和公共空间制作装置，为商业空间制作照明艺术，以及为奢侈品牌制作艺术品。

最近的活动
从2007年开始，他在国际媒体艺术节“ARS ELECTRONICA”上永久展出了自己的作品，并在世界各地的主要媒体艺术节和展览上取得了成功，引起了人们的关注。2009年，作为佳能(Canon)在意大利国际家具展(Salone del Mobile)上NEOREAL展览的一部分，他微妙的互动装置在世界各地引起了轰动。

2011年，Matsuo在东京银座的Pola Museum Annex举办了名为LIGHT EMOTION的个展，2012年在福冈的Mitsubishijisho Artium举办了个展，并为BVLGARI在东京银座的“意大利辉煌”展览与历史档案珠宝合作制作了装置。

Born in 1979. Matsuo completed a postgraduate course at the Graduate School of Design, Kyushu Institute of Design.
He is a creator of light installations that fuse aesthetic expression with images, lighting, objects, technology, and interaction. He consistently constructs artwork using diverse expression and technology through lighting, programming, as well as self-produced images. With phenomena and regularity of nature, subtle expression of light using imagination, and emotional artwork based on an intuitive participatory approach, Matsuo produces installations for art exhibitions and public spaces around the world, lighting art for commercial spaces, as well as artwork for luxury brands.
Matsuo develops creations that cross over art and design in various technologies and fields.

RECENT ACTIVITIES
Since 2007, he has gathered much attention for permanently exhibiting his work at the ARS ELECTRONICA, an international media art festival, followed by global success at major media art festivals and exhibitions the world over. In 2009, his subtle interactive installations generated a buzz around the world as part of Canon’s NEOREAL exhibition at the Salone del Mobile in Italy.

Matsuo has put on a solo exhibition called LIGHT EMOTION at Pola Museum Annex in Ginza, Tokyo in 2011, and at Mitsubishijisho Artium in Fukuoka in 2012, and also produced installations in collaboration with historical archive jewelry for BVLGARIs exhibition Italian Magnificence in Ginza, Tokyo.

Since then, starting with the expansion to major cities worldwide of SEIKO show windows produced for Baselworld in Switzerland, he has produced creations that cross over between art and design based on a wide range of technologies and fields such as a permanent installation at Shiseido The Ginza, a lighting installation for CASSINA IXC., a Christmas tree at Omotesando Hills, a permanent artwork for Tanseishas Shinagawa Headquarters, a Shiseido Ultimune installation, the Numérique Poétique exhibition in France, WONDER MOMENTS a spherical installation at NIFREL, a live museum, and Conrad Osaka permanent prism artwork AURA, Mirrored Pieces as a permanent artwork for Shiseido Ginza Headquarter. KAWAI Crystal Rain was displayed at Milano Salone 2018, Italy. In 2020 Matsuo designed the lighting of TOKYO AIR, Narita Airport. Takahiro Matsuo: INTENSITY was shown at the POLA MUSEUM ANNEX in summer 2020.
